"Lee" was a great biopic - I took my wife with me. She sees my work as a documentary photographer for TV and film and thought it would be dull as dish water for her... she LOVED it! I'm not going to spoil it for you but it was a nice twist the way it was filmed - her son not knowing her work until after her death might be a clue. It wasn't trite or soppy - great performance by Kate Winslet. I now want to see the documentary that was on BBC iPlayer but it's no longer available there!

Thanks, David. It’s good to read a really positive review. The newspaper reviews I’ve seen have been mixed but all of the social media posts I’ve read from people who’ve seen the film are glowing. I don’t think I knew about the BBC documentary. Perhaps it will return to iPlayer or turn up on another platform. BBC stuff sometimes appears on Apple TV. If you find it, please let me know. Cheers!

What a delight to learn that I was the very lucky winner of "The Shipping Forecast" - I am really looking forward to wallowing in the pages once it arrives. Thank you so much!

In the meantime, I have thoroughly enjoyed wallowing in Desert Island Discs and the portraits behind some of the episodes. Another great post!
