The art of the Photo Essay. What is it and why does it still matter? Through the lens of William Albert Allard and two award-winning photographers. Plus a reader competition to win a rare book.
Gotta love the feeling that there’s always something more to learn. I didn’t know this work by Bill but looks promising. I saw one of his talks a few years ago and it was amazing, full of passion.
If you think you might like that book, I'm sure you'd also appreciate his weighty Five Decades Retrospective book, which is the photography book I recommend more than any other.
Yep, exciting for me, for sure, although I would guess one of them may not be your style. Vincent Munier - Le Chant des Forêts; Masakazu Sugiura - Labyrinth; Greg Girard - Snack Sakura.
I’m now in Paris, saving on high delivery costs =)
And I don’t know where my mind was…I have Bill’s book about Paris!

Indeed, and I still don’t have any of his books in my collection. I just spent a lot of money in 3 books today 😬
Photography books? Anything exciting? Recommendations?

Excellent! I will check them out, thanks. I hope you enjoy your time in Paris – and your new purchases.
